Alrighty from the information I have can you guys help me distinguish what their genetics are, I think I have most of it figured out, but I'd love to know for sure xP
Pair 1: Male: Mottled Golden Agouti Female: Mottle Black Pups produced (and markings): black, agouti, mottled, pied, dilutes, light colourpoint golden agouti, spotted/patched
Pair 2: Male: Pied Siamese Female: Burmese Pups produced (and markings): siamese, burmese, pied, PEW, dark tailed white, spotted/patched
From that what can you guys make of their genetic write up?

Probably not best to do this so early in the morning (so may be something extra I haven't seen) - but these are the basics without knowing the numbers of each colour and litter number/sizes (and this also doesn't include spots as they don't affect the base colour and are most likely just Sp rather than EW or Sl, and I haven't used the correct text for the colorpoint gene codes either as I need to go out - but will change later to be correct):
Pair 1: Agouti: Aa C ch/chm Dd E* P* Uw* Black: aa C ch/chm Dd E* P* Uw*
One or both are likely EE PP and UwUw - and of course you won't know which one has the ch and which one has the chm unless you breed them separately. And I am not sure about your use of the word 'dilutes' here - whether you mean the dilute gene (d) or whether you mean diluted with the cp genes - as this will affect your percentages and the genes above.
Pair 2: Siamese: aa chm ch D* E* Pp Uw* Burmese: aa chm chm D* E* Pp Uw*
Again, one or more parents could be DD, EE and UwUw, but you can't tell without further breeding.
Hope this is a good starting point for you.

Thank you so much! Lol no worries about morning brain.. its 2 AM here I'm pretty shot myself! These genetics are so simple yet so tricky and learning them mostly alone is such a brain ache, so the help is appreciated extremely.
Thats about what I figured for the first pair, I'm fine to not split them so im not too worried about who has chm and ch. I'm honestly not sure about the dilute part myself (been scratching my head over it to be entirely honest), the previous breeder listed it and I figured it was just something I didnt know about lol. Glad to see im not that out of the loop! I'll have to see if I can get her to clarify later on that.
Whoop! I'm way too happy about this simple thing lol but I had the second pair nailed down. When you say further breeding do you mean to different mates or to each other? Either way i dont believe it matters all too much
This is a perfect starting point for me and thank you <3

Yes, it would be very useful to find out about the 'dilute' part as one is a gene itself and the other is just a phrase used to describe any recessive gene in the mix.
As for the further breeding - yes. without knowing the numbers of each colour pup and the number of litters, you couldn't really guess which parent had what, as although it isn't a 100% fail safe, but genetics has certain 'rules' and so numbers and percentages can offer a better estimation of genetic make up.
However if you aren't worried about the specifics and aren't aiming for a higher number of any one colour pup - perhaps this won't apply to your breeding plan anyway. But if you ever wanted to breed for 'less PEWs' for example - these details become more important as does changing breeding pairs around.
Also, I wanted to mention that if you have a Burmese and a Siamese, you can't get Dark-Tailed Whites (which are Himalayans and need two ch genes - which your Burmese can't offer up) - so they must be something else.

Yeah for sure, I've messaged the breeder to see what information she has so hopefully she'll be back to me soon.
Thats what figured, these two are fairly aged and the breeder had many pairs I kind of feel she wasnt that 'on top of it' to ask for records etc which is too bad but oh well we'll just see what comes our way and what we can do with what.
I didn't think you could, so im kinda confused there if she even knew or if it was a foster pup thrown in or what lol- very odd but oh well I guess. They'll all be strictly charted now so thats for sure much better
