This summer we are moving from France back home to the US. My 11 year old son has 3 gerbils. One of our gerbils is the father of the other two, he’s two and a few months, so he’s abit older. His two sons are 19 months. I am not sure where to start regarding traveling with our pets? It is a long journey from France to the East Coast of the US, with a layover. Any and all advice is really appreciated! Thank you in advance. Laura

I would ask at the airlines what you would need to do and what you would have to use as it would have to be very secure- hopefully others' have advice but I would only bring them if they could fly in the seat area and not in cargo or have to be put with the luggage(never in the overhead luggage area where the seats are).

Are you sure the air pressure won't be agonising for them? I wouldn't as I get terrible ear pain on flights so I dread to think what it would do to a little thing.
