We need to find a new home for my single male gerbil. His companion passed and we don't have the opportunity right now to try to introduce a new one. I am looking for advice on how to go about it. We live in Tampa Florida. I just need help not negativity, it's been a hard choice.

gerbils can be happy living alone with extra attention and things to do, esp. if he is older, he may get more stressed with a new owner and a split cage. If you love him, I would keep him and make sure he knows you love him. :)I've had quite afew lone gerbils who lived happily by themselves and have one at present, Kirby, who I recently rescued.
