Hi,
My 2 years 11 month old boy, Ty, had scent gland removal surgery last week due to a growth. He's recovering quite well and is on Baytril and Metacam, however today he seems to be making squeaking noises.. He's had a respiratory infection before and this doesn't quite sound the same--it is wheezing rather than clicking. Is it possible he is stressed? As I've had gerbils make similar noises when they don't want to take medication!
Not sure what to do with him, he has an appointment with the vet on Monday but I'm worried he might deteriorate over the weekend! Has anyone had a similar experience or have any advice?
Thank you!

sorry to hear about Ty, does he seem to be eating/drinking okay? energy the same? if he is on baytril and Metacam he may be okay for the weekend but if you are concerned, maybe call the vet today? maybe his stiches are bothering him? does it look red or swollen? just keep him eating and drinking and quiet and hopefully he will be fine until Monday. Fingers crossed he will be okay for now, it is worrying when pets' aren't well/had surgery. do you have something topical for pain to put on the incision site? I hope he feels better soon Take care
