Sugar (up until this point) would refuse to eat food unless it's put in the den (basically breakfast/dinner etc in bed)
Lately (as in today) I put food outside of the den when she was already out having a little look around, she nibbled at the food, ran back to the den, seemed to have a think about it, came back out for another nibble, ran back to the den, think she did this about 4 maybe 5 times (without taking food back into the den)
Spice, on the other hand, will eat the food wherever in the cage I happen to put it.

as long as she is eating, this is okay and normal. just know if you start doing this, she may come to expect it there and not eat out of the dish again, they can get spoiled and some prefer it in the bedding.

I started putting food in the den for Sugar cause she's got a chest infection and really did not feel like coming out to get any food. She's still not 100% i think, she seems to rally then slide rally then slide (health wise) |
