Okay - hopefully a better bale this time! You haven't had that happen to you before, have you?
Wow, a lot of bedding!!

No, but I may have only had 1 bale previous to that? (I can't remember tbh). And possibly a little more than 1 bale, which would be a pain in the neck! lol

Oh okay. To be honest I think I've only had two or three bales - a bag does me about 3 cleans, including adding 1/4 old bedding and lots of hay. Ah that would be a pain! It is a huge cage though. I must admit I'm slightly jealous of your amazing find

They might still have the 2nd 7ftr or the 8ftr tank still available if you fancy a trip near to Gatwick

Whooh that is a huge tank, such lucky gerbils you have! I find aubiose holds tunnels fine so long as you mix it with plenty of hay (which i always have handy with two guinea pigs..) and shredded cardboard (which i also have handy with one crazy gerbil….)

Who needs a paper shredder when you have a crazy gerbil! And yea I can see that would help Aubiose plenty. My boys aren't living in it yet, it's going to take a while yet, and whilst they'll only be having 1/2 each, it'll be good to be giving them a decent space again .

Haha, they do a better job of it too! My gerbils tend to pick up the pieces they forgot to chew up 'small enough' and re-chew them Ahh I was near Gatwick last week! I'm fine with my detolf though, lol. I'm actually hoping to get a tall topper/lid built for it, partly because my lid isn't secure enough, and partly because of space, so it's fine for me!!

I look forwards to seeing the cage extension
Do you know I was thinking just earlier about how to get rid of some really old bank statements, they have my previous address, so I was very tempted just to toss them in the recycling, but maybe I should let my boys chew them!? lol The ink's non toxic these days, right?

Thanks! I think it is toxic - I'd generally try to avoid things with ink for the gerbils unless they're from a food item such as cereal or egg boxes, because they're the only type of cardboard with ink that is definitely safe as far as I know. That would have been good though!!

Haha I love the idea of using your gerbils as a shredder

Would be a double win wouldn't it!? Not sure about the ink toxicity issue though.
