Spice has started bar-chewing and she's losing fur off the front of her face, they both have loads of toys in there and its deep enough for them to tunnel to their hearts content (both Sugar and Spice), Sugar seems fine but I'm worried about the slight fur loss on the end of Spice's nose (seems to be down to her bar chewing)
I'm thinking would it be a idea to get a tank kinda thoing with no bars? I cant fond anything on amazon though unless it says aquarium only?
Advice please?

I would recommend a glass tank with a lid made from 6mm wire mesh. I've found gerbils can't chew this because the holes are too small for them to put their noses through.
The Rosewood Gerbilarium would be too small and I think they could chew the plastic.

Those toppers can lead to bar chewing sometimes and once the habit is established it's unfortunately hard to break and it's usually necessary to remove the topper. The tank of that cage is too low and too small to be used alone. You could get a larger glass tank (like a second hand fish tank) and make a mesh lid. Another option would be one of these tanks: www.portonaquapet.co.uk/shop/Glass-Enclosures-C302015 that come with a fine mesh lid. Gerbils won't be able to chew those lids.

How about the junglepets.co.uk site (sorry can't link it, forum software's being crap again!) you've mentioned before LilyandDaisy?
sugarandspice You could try either of the above, or if you're budget can go a little higher their are 2 shops on ebay that sell plain aquariums, one's called Diversa and the other's NACD (I bought my tank from the latter).

The tanks with mesh tops, where would the water go though?

Most people attach the water bottle with self-adhesive velcro.
Yes, the Junglepets tanks would be another option.
