My gerbil started to have small blood leaks every time she's peeing, and she seems to have some other troubles in her lower body at this time: she starts with sitting pose to pee and then bends forward and to the side, it pretty much looks like she's stretching, but in a very unpleasant way. Otherwise she walks normally, slightly less active, but mostly ok. I let them run in the room yesterday, maybe she injured herself somehow, I may not noticed last night. It's definitely not falling as they only run the floor

Peeing blood? If it were me I would take them straight to the vets (although that's more because that's what people should do, doctors not vets ). Let's see what more experienced people say......

I agree. She needs to see a vet. Walking problems and stretching might be signs of pain.

she needs a vet, could need antibiotics if it's a UTI. take care
