Lol, yea that's probably true! . I'm going to try plantain again later, see if they're more interested now. I tried them with red pepper yesterday, Blake liked it, but as usual Avon isn't keen on many veggies, he took a few nibbles of it and then left it.

I've never tried flowers that aren't from a commercial mix, but as I use nature's touch there are quite a few in there. Pippa and Mali quite like veggies, I made them their first gerbil 'salad' yesterday with sweetcorn, fleshy bit of tomato, flax seeds and a few kinds of leaves/plants (rocket, spinach and lettuce - only the greenest bit of the lettuce though and I only put a very tiny bit of spinach) that I checked were safe on the Erin's Ark website, and they ate pretty much all of it - there wasn't loads though, maybe a tablespoon. On the other hand, the only veggies Rolo ever liked was peas! Do all your gerbils like veggies etc. betty or do you have some more fussy ones?

I never really notice anyone NOT eating the veg - usually when I drop it in you hear everyone wake up to come see - and quite a lot grab it like it's a Black Friday sale Apple Watch - others just sit right there and chomp.
Mine do quite like a bit of spinach too.
