We have a few aquariums for our gerbils and I’ve tried stick on Velcro but it keep falling off, resulting in thirsty gerbils. We have tried several different ways and Velcro was the best. Any bright ideas?

Your could try this (it's what I did for my gerbils for a while). The bottom of the bottle is held on by it's clip, but isn't visible here.

Any bright ideas? Do you have a lid for your tank? I have a 15 gallon with a lid, I use a hanging water bottle, it works really well but they only last about 2 years... but there cheap

The water bottle I had for my gerbil started to leak really badly so I had to change his tank and it leaked so much mold was growing in his tank! Luckily he didn't eat any of it and I scrubbed the tank with tank cleaner. I don't know about the photo.
jewelz1171 If your gerbils are thirsty just try holding their water bottle up to them and if they are thirsty they should drink, you just have to wait and be patient until then have finished drinking.

So do I. The holder I made with mesh was from a tutorial from E-gerbil, but for some reason it won't let me onto the website anymore so I can't show you. It's the same as Markpd's, but with a bit of mesh supporting the bottom of the bottle too so it holds in place a bit better.

My bottle's got a clip at the bottom holding it in, it just happens in that photo that you can't see it at all, as I mentioned . You can see it here though.
Btw, it seems the eGberbil site has finally completely died , I thought this would happen, so I did copy of a few of it's pages several months ago.

Ha! yes I do by a stroke of luck! (Woods, Tree branches and Twigs, is that the one?) I also have :- Gerbils Housing - Tank sizes Gerbil tanks and other accommodation Housing for gerbil communities A tribute to Percy Parslow (a UK hamster farm owner near me upto the 80s) I'll see if I can attach them all to this post for anyone to grab.....nope, can't do that. I'll upload them to my Google drive then link it here.
Ok I've done it, hopefully you can all download it from >>>here<<<. Ignore 'can't view the file' error and hit download. It's only a ~1.2 MB download, you'll need winrar (or equivalent e.g winzip) to extract the files, once you've done that then just double click the 'htm' files (if you have file extensions visible on), or look for the files with your browsers icon on them and double click that (don't bother going into the sub folders). The errors at the top the pages were how it was sometime before it died.

Great, thanks!
I'm amazed egerbil lasted as long as it did because the site was quite clunky towards the end.
