I'm having a bit of a problem with what color my gerbil is now. First I thought she was a golden agouti then she started to molt and shes darker in more spots on her body than others. Can someone help me what she is?

Your link doesn't open for me - but does she have a totally and obvious white tummy - all the way from her chin to her tail? - like someone has pinned a towel to her from front to back??
If she doesn't - or just has bits a white/paler fur - she is most likely a Nutmeg instead. They can look quite similar on their backs as teenagers.
Please try to attach the image again so we can be sure.

A copy of the link of the Google photo you look at won't work, what you need to do is click on the photo, click on the share icon (top right, left icon), then create link (at the bottom of the white window), and hit create link again (don't ask me why we have to twice ,lol ), then copy and paste that link here.

Unfortunately - not for me. Comes up 404 - page doesn't exist. Not sure what to suggest if you can't use imgur or other hosting site? Markpd - is there an easier way to post Google images?

You are still just copying and pasting the link from the address bar it seems (it's the exact same link as before), if so, that won't work as I mentioned in my previous post (didn't see it?), check out my instructions there.

Thanks markpd - hopefully cgreat you can try the same thing using markpds guidelines? I remember when I started on here and couldn't figure out the images too - not sure why this forum host can't create their own image hosting site too that is super compatible?

I remember when I started on here and couldn't figure out the images too - not sure why this forum host can't create their own image hosting site too that is super compatible? Oh, they have image hosting available for their forums-- it's just not free. And not available as a separate service. We maxed out the free-forum hosting limit back when the original admin was still running things. (Not sure anyone around these days even remembers Peter, lol.) In order to use Proboards' image hosting, we'd have to get a paid forum plan, which means we'd have to make memberships cost money, and nobody wants that. Even though it can be a pain, finding a relatively-compatible free image host is better all around.

Well if it isn't free - we don't want it! Good decision (although in today's climate of instant FB - I think it is missing a trick for itself there?). Anyway - we shall imgur for as long as we can - I remember just getting used to the photobucket and then have them all go blank!!
And no - I haven't even heard of Peter!!! That must be way WAY back?
Thanks again though for keeping this one going though - you have helped so many people on here.

Yes we can see it now (btw did you know your full name is showing there?), but the trouble is that photo is quite dark and very blurred, I think it will be hard for anyone to do better than a best guess.

Best guess is a young nutmeg in major molt, but pictures with more light and from the side would be useful.
