So I was playing with my gerbils in the playpen when I fell backwards (while sitting [yes I am the best balancer in the world]). Turns out my gerbils had just ran behind me and I heard a sound like the crunching of gerbil bones. I turn around while already crying and see my gerbils and I automatically assume they are in pain. Turns out the playpen was wonky after that because I BROKE THE PLAYPEN. I AM SO STUPID. Lol, anyways the gerbils were not in pain and I was just being paranoid.
P.S. vote in the poll on whether whoever made the playpen should make the sounds of their playpen breaking less like gerbil bones

Im glad youre all okay.
I did have a childhood friend who accidentally killed her gerbil when she was playing with it outside the cage and she put her knee down on it. Poor guy. So, definitely be careful.

Aww poor thing Glad that didn't happen to you yuzername (you got lucky by the sounds of it), I would avoid situations like that in the 1st place though (where losing your balance could crush them), just sit down on the floor, especially if you've got poor balance! lol Re your poll, the question is worded somewhat oddly. But yea many plastics (I assume it's made from that?), do make loud cracking noises.
