Markpdyeti218bettytanzanyteHere is Runt at 7 weeks temporarily reunited with his siblings for this comparison. He looks more like a Miniature Gerbil now. His bald spot is fully furred. He's spry, very friendly, and calm when handled (in spite of his mean mother). imgur.com/RALEMC1

Imgur won't let me view it right now - but I shall check back tomorrow to have a look.
Great that the bald patch patched up!

I can't get over how much he has grown! He doesn't look half as tiny as he did, and it's great to see that he no longer has his bald spot. Definitely an elite little gerbil with incredible spirit.

betty, An update. Runt was born on February 2, 2021 As of today, June 6, he weighs 1.3oz/37g at 4 months, 4 days. He's small but very active, seemingly healthy, and really friendly. He's about 1/2 the size of his siblings.

Wow - he maybe is more than a runt?
At around 4 months at that weight - he is certainly one of, if not THE, lightest gerbil I have ever heard of. Even my tiny female was in the 50s at that age (or not much later) I think?
Bless him.

As you can see, with the exception of his typical larger-than-mouse head, they are the same size. imgur.com/caNKjIN

Both, being extremely docile, had no problem posing together for a minute. Neither received negative reactions when placed back in their clans.

Very cute , although I have no real idea of mice size, seeing him with other adult gerbils gives me a better idea of perspective. How old is he now?

Aww, I love him so much. It's funny that he's just happily munching away and the mouse is all over the place.
Thanks for the update on his weight, it's really interesting to be able to find out how he's doing and where he sits on the scale at different stages. It definitely paints a better picture of gerbils being able to thrive on a relatively low weight.
