Yes, it was exactly 160g! It was horrendous how overweight he was.

Aw, poor guy I think I remember you talking about him a few months ago. Also, 75 grams is at the lower end of how much an adult male gerbil should weigh, definitely not overweight!!

Oh my, 160 is more than twice the weight than Pippin! Poor thing.

Unfortunately I can't share a photo as he wasn't my gerbil (I only looked after him for a bit). Imagine a large ginger blob, about the size of a baking potato, with a tail and you won't be far off.

Ah yea, horrendously overweight! IIRC you did suggest to them that he needed to lose weight, do you know if they followed that up?

I haven't heard from them since the gerbils went home, so no. If he didn't lose weight, I suspect he's no longer alive to be honest, which is sad because he was only 10 months old back in July when I had him.

I'm still leaning towards the idea it was some genetic condition causing extreme weight gain though, because 3/4 brothers were ridiculously overweight, and at such a young age. So it's not necessarily completely the fault of the owners.

Yea I guess it could be, well we'll never know unless you get to look after them again for a longer period (and if they are still alive!).
