Hello there!
Upon doing my research, I have read varying recommendations as to how long it takes to introduce a male pup to an adult male. In some places it’s listed as a week, in other places, 1 to 3 days. Does anyone have experience of how long this process would take?

There is no exact answer, that is why you are finding mixed info - although it is one of the easiest spliuts in general.
Safest is to always expect a 2 week minimum and not to anticipate it happening before then (but if all the signs are good it might be).
Really young pup (<7 weeks) to an older laid back male could literally be a few days (they just want to have fun and he just wants to sleep).
Really young pup to another young single male could be really quick too.
Older pup (8-10 weeks) to an older laid back male could vary from a few days to a few weeks - but you woudn't want to leave it too long otherwise they aren't a young pup anymore.
Any other combo could be variable depending on the character (rudeness) of the older single and the nerve of the younger one.

That’s really helpful, thank you.
Have you ever had an adult male attack a young pup when introduced?

I never had males, but I have had a adult female *almost* attack a younger female. I luckily caught her in time but it was very close. What happened was I had two gerbils in a split tank. It was only the first day so I never intended on them meeting. Well I opened the lid of the tank to feed them and when I turned around to grab their food my older gerbil climbed over the barrier. It was really scary but luckily my younger gerbil was unharmed. After a few weeks of split cage, the pair lived happily together until the older gerbil sadly passed away.
