My Tristans' bottom teeth seem just abit too long, he can chew but not like he normally does but can still chew and he eats quickly and how he normally does, but his teeth don't meet up. Should i make a vet appt. or wait until he can't chew or if they get any longer? i've had gerbils' for 30 years but haven't had many with teeth issues. I don't want to stress him or me and pay over $100 for a vet to say they are okay and to wait until he can't chew. help?

he is chewing great now, i think i panicked as he wasn't chewing much that morning so cancelled his appt., he has no other issues, so will just check more and make sure he chews enough each day.
