It's been my practice to put Scooby's bin in the bathroom overnight. I also put Bumble Bean (hamster) in the kitchen. That way, when they make noise, it doesn't awaken me. Yesterday, I injured my knee and could barely walk, so couldn't "put the boys to bed" as usual. So they stayed in the same room as me. Bean has a quiet wheel, so he wasn't too bad. And after crashing around a bit, briefly running on his clanky wheel, and noisily crunching up some cardboard, Scooby settled down and didn't make a sound all night! I have a brace on my leg (much to Scooby's alarm - "Thump thump!" " It's OK, it's only me.") Walking a dog, or picking up cat litter would be impossible right now. Glad I have "the boys"!

Sorry to hear you've hurt your knee , how did that happen? (If you don't mind me asking). Good to hear they haven't been noisy so far, although it was only your 1st night! You'll quickly realise which are the noisy cardboards to chew Lol at Scooby freaked out by your brace!

I injured my knee by: (choose one) Bull riding Sky diving Tripping on a bit of pavement All of the above. That's right! It was riding a skydiving bull! (Tripping on a bit of pavement is too...pedestrian.) (Sorry.) It's kinda nice to have "the boys" in the same room with me. I'm beginning to get used to the patter of wee hamster feet. And Scooby only crunches and crashes around until midnight or so. I don't know if they complain to each other about any noises I might make.

Skydiving bulls! Excellent! Your boys PM'ed me complaints about your night time noise, but I couldn't possibly post about it on the open forums!

It’s so cool how Scooby was concerned when you hurt your knee. My gerbils sleep in my brothers room, and he puts a toilet paper in the tank every night before bed. According to him he likes the sound of gerbils nibbling on cardboard! Our wheel is a pretty cheap wheel that’s SUPER loud, but to fix that I zip tied the wheel to the tank topper. This way the wheel never rattles and is pretty much silent. I hope your knee heals soon!

Lol. That's one of the things that can wake me! With noisy cardboard anyway.(Even though I don't sleep in the same room as them).
