Has anyone registered for this yet? It says they expect 50 entries, how likely is that? Also, where would one obtain show tanks? I can’t seem to find it anywhere (maybe I’m looking in the wrong place?)

Hello siamese - and yes - there are often around 50 individual entries to the various gerbil sections (normal gerbils and exotics) although many are from the same owners. Show containers can be simple clear containers like the Ferplast Geo style or even the standard closed-sided carriers like the Ferplast Aladino style - either is fine for your first few shows - so no need to any special new products or exact measurements. You can bring a larger enclosure if you want to - mainly when entering the pets-only section as this is judged differently and usually much earlier than the Best In Show and exotic sections. Just bear in mind that your gerbil/s will need to be in the container/enclosure all day while the main show and then the judging takes place - and the results aren't announced until all have been viewed and handled - so bring food, fresh veg and other supplies to last you and your animals for a good few hours. There are other things to see at the show and the table is always attended and surrounded by gerbil lovers and keepers chatting about all things gerbil - although there is an entrance fee to this particular show.
