Ok, thank you, I was going to leave it a few more days definitely before I let them out and I’ve got a playpen thing that I used to use when cookie and donut were babies so I can put them in that first 👍🏻Ok, I’ll leave it a few more days then add some more stuff gradually- they’ve been getting on great, still sharing the wheel nicely, peanuts in heat tonight and things aren’t as tense thankfully! I hope they continue to get on like this as it makes me so happy to see cookie back to her normal cheeky, happy self ☺️ I’m glad I made the decision to get her a friend and I can’t thank you enough lilyanddaisy for all your help and support through this, I couldn’t have done it without your advise and encouragement 👍🏻

ibb.co/Ws59k5wibb.co/2nH9n0Sibb.co/vPsXcFVibb.co/Lt3kJh1Just a little update - cookie and peanut still seem to be getting on great ! ‘Heat’ days can still be a little manic but they seem to work through it as they are fast asleep together the next morning ! They are sharing the wheel nicely - it’s so cute - one will sit and watch the other run then they swap over !!! I’ve been gradually adding bedding each day and tomorrow I’m giving them the coconut pods.We even got them out for a little free run last night, they both loved it ! I only kept it short, about half an hour, but will get them out again tomorrow. I’ve uploaded a few photos- the one of cookie standing up - you can actually see the ‘smile’ on her face !!!

Thank you ! I’m still really cautious and checking on them every half an hour when they are awake - especially when one is in heat ! I’m hoping things calm down in that respect the older peanut gets. Mind you it was cookie in heat last night and she was a terror ! She just wouldn’t leave poor peanut alone ! She wasn’t that bad with donut ! 😩

I don’t know whether to be concerned. Although cookie and peanut have been getting on good for the last couple of weeks, there still seems to be what I can only assume is a power battle between them ! Cookies been amazing with peanut, putting up with her annoying and bossy behaviour! But tonight they just seem to be ‘squabbling’ all the time ! Pushing and shoving, mounting, and squeaking (from peanut) they have been like this from the start really it just seems a bit ‘more’ tonight. Their ‘arguments’ last seconds then they are happy to go off and do something else. Should I be concerned about this ? None of them are in heat either today !!

I think I would just see how it plays out for now. Peanut is still a "teenager" and could be testing the boundaries and the hierarchy. Be cautious with adding new things and with changing the bedding. Try to preserve their scent as much as possible to avoid rocking the boat further.

Thank you. After that last message they’ve had a lovely few days of getting on brilliantly (even when they have both been in heat) then this afternoon again they are ‘bickering’ a lot again ! I’m watching them like a hawk. I just don’t understand why they have certain days of being like this with each other !

Just done the second swap of the day (so sorry if I’m boring people here!) I’m so nervous about this so want to document everything! Swap went smoothly they again had a little sniff around and a little sniff at each other through the divider (they were sleepy as I woke them up!) having a little potter about, cookie looks like she’s going to go back to sleep as she’s sorting the nest out ! although they aren’t overly interacting as in at the divider all the time, they seem totally relaxed in their little sides and when they do meet at the divider it’s all calm sniffing then walk away - is this good ? Or should they be interacting more ? To be fair - like I said - they were sleepy on the second swap as I’d just woken them up ! I'm just going back over this thread (partly because I'll be getting Blake a new buddy or 2, partly for the new split intro guide), anyway, it's not boring at all! It's interesting to read the details of how they get on
