Looks like cookie is going to sleep (in peanut’s nest from last night) peanut is still digging in the corner 😭 is this a bad sign ?

So cookie is nesting still- peanut has been in a couple of times and cookie has given her a groom (and some adorable chirpy squeaks from peanut) then peanut will jump out and go back to digging ! She’s done this 2 times now

It's fine. Pups are more energetic than adults so often they'll still be active when the adult has decided it's time to sleep! She will settle down eventually.

Oh phew !!!! What if peanut nests separate to cookie- in cookies nest from last night? Could this happen and would it be bad ?

She probably won't. If she did, I would break up the old nests to encourage them to make new, joint one. But I'm sure she'll probably settle down with Cookie once she's worn herself out with digging. Pups just have masses of energy.

Cookie is up again now ! She’s chewing a toilet tube and peanut is digging in the corner still. I’d planned on getting loads done today but I darent move from my lookout spot with my glove on and ruler in my hand !!!!

You can probably put the glove and ruler down now. It's very, very unlikely that anything would go wrong at this point. Pups have no aggressive instinct, so the only real risk with a pup introduction is if the adult is going to be aggressive. I think Cookie has shown now she's fine with Peanut and has accepted her.

Ha ha ha step away from the glove and ruler !! My hand is a bit sweaty to be fair !!! I don’t think I’m going to relax till they have settled down together ! My heart is still thumping and I’m two hours in now !!! Cookie has just chased peanut a little it was only a little and then she stopped and has got back in the nest.

Whenever I remove a split tank divider, I get a rush of adrenaline which makes me shake for ages!
Peanut was probably being a bit irritating.

I think Peanut is possibly being a bit demanding and annoying Cookie.
I'd suggest giving them a pile of hay or nesting material to distract them and hopefully get them to nest properly.

Still won’t settle together, peanut has settled in cookies spot and cookie is now scratching at the glass 😩 Should they have settled by now if things were going to be ok ?
