Hi there,
We lost one of our gerbils on christmas eve, and now we are going to attempt to pair our older girl with our other three, but I'm in need of recommendations for tanks and tank sizes! Any help and advice would be appreciated as we've been struggling to find anything suitable.

Pairing an older female gerbil with an established clan of three? I hate to tell you this, but tank sizes are the least of your worries right now. An introduction like that will be super challenging at best, and a disaster at worst.

I don't know if it's a good idea to do this in the first place. The bonding would be extremely difficult and like said above, may be a disaster. I personally wouldn't try this. Maybe get another gerbil and try to pair your older lone girl with them? I just know it can be difficult to add a female to an existing trio.

Thank you for the advice, I have tried doing as much research into this as possible, but this is my first time ha jng to introduce another gerbil, and information seems to fluctuate, if it would be safer to get another single gerbil for her, that's what we'll do, anything as long as they're all safe and happy. Thst helped out a lot, thank you.
I'll update in the future to let everyone know how it goes.

Please don’t introduce to an established clan. Your best bet is pairing a young gerbil to your single gerbil using split cage method
