We're debating whether to move most of the pinned threads and FAQs to the relevant sub-sections to allow live posts to be higher up the list and more visible.
However, that's not much use if people aren't seeing the sub sections!
So please post here if you found this section and thread.
Also if you could LMK where/how you saw it, that would be handy  |

Cool , though only 1 person posting in 4 days isn't exactly a resounding success! Lol, although I see this thread has 30 views atm (a few of which would be me). Please, all people who viewed this thread post here! Or in the guest section if you're not a member. |

The only reason I didn't see it before is because I usually just click on Recent Posts, except when I want to post a thread.
I think anyone looking in this section for information would see this thread. It's hard to miss.

I just saw it - only because every so often I go into everything to check I haven't missed anything - otherwise I just skim the new things only.
Sometimes I only click that one new post rather than go into the section itself - but once in here it is totes obvs as a new post.

Difficult one - Unless it is a generic title for the generic pinned posts - like 'Pinned Information Posts', or give them a new name on all the boards like we could call them 'Forum Basics' or if they are sharing: 'Pinned Posts for Introductions and Common Behaviours'.
Let me go back and see what the pinned posts actually are here...

Yes, I like the sub thread showing on the main page - even if it is small.
Looking back at a few comments earlier - there was still the option of having all the 'everysection' pinned information posts as links only from a single pinned post to tidy things up. We know that this won't duplicate anything - it would act like a website listing I suppose.
So have the pinned posts as normal threads somewhere on the forum - visible or in a hidden location - and then have just one pinned post for all the regular stuff - like attaching images, naming threads and quoting people etc, and then another pinned post for things relevant to that section - because they were afterall just threads in that same section before being pinned to the top - so instead of pinning them physically - you pin them through links only.
Hopefully the more this happens, the more people will see these pinned posts flashing as 'new' at the top and start to view there more often anyway or at least know how this all works now. That way the new threads are always near the top, not buried under loads of static threads which are potentially never added to or commented on again.

Yea true, the only trouble is, then people don't see the titles on entering the section, but as long as they enter the info/link thread or sub forum section (I guess that's what you meant? rather than sub thread) to all the former pinned threads then I guess they'll still see them.
I supposed a pinned thread with a link to the sub section would cover both bases?

I suppose we can also see how the viewing numbers change for the (now moved) pinned threads.
My 2 are currently at 1006 and 3320, your one is at 748, L&D's one 806, Thelodar's 708 and ps25's 1016

I just saw this as well.
I saw a "new" sign in behavior and introducing, so I clicked on it. It was another post in the main section, but I noticed another "new" sign on experiences guides and surveys.
So I opened that, saw this, and now I'm here!
