Hmmm... they look like African Pygmy dormice, but look at the noses. Isn't the nose longer on "my" animal? There are a lot of pictures of African Pygmy dormice here in "Visitors gallery"

Hi, Yes they are APD's I got some of that particular subspecies for one of my mods. Remember that the ones in that gallery will look different because the ones you have are suspected to be a different sub species than that particular breeding line in the gallery on Marks website. Have a look at the pic in this thread from e-gerbil forum, you will see that they look very similar to yours. gerbilsuk.proboards15.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=otherspecies&thread=1123588572&page=1Hope this helps, Eddie

What sort of size were they pinto? Just interested to know how big they are compared to a normal gerbil.

I didn't see them, but the wheels (on the picture) diameter should be ~15cm. From one site I read they are ~15cm long with the tail.

Yeah me! They are quite common here in Sweden, but you wont see them in a pet store, as far as I know you can only buy them by breeders. There very cute and fun to look at, but they are not cuddlie as rats etc
