Can yo believe after all the searching I found someone with a breeding pair of Jirds not 10 minutes from my house!! The pups are 3 weeks old and she's just sent me this picture of their eyes just opening - I'm having the single female in the litter and I CAN'T WAIT!

I thought they had stumpy little noses too Caz but my baby gerbils do too, and their heads are too big for their bodies at the moment, I guess they're all out of proportion for a while?
Would it be okay to post pics of her when I get her do you think? I know this is a gerbil forum and no one on my guinea pig forum would be interested and I'm so excited I'd love to share her?

well here is the latest picture of the little lady, I think she's about 3 weeks old now so not too long to go - can't call her Hazel (nice name though) as we already have a guinea pig called Hazel just wondering she's living with her Mum and Dad plus 2 brothers (at the moment) in a 2 foot perfecto tank, I have one of those but I was going to put her in a 3 foot tank, do you think it'll be too big for her?

LOL! She looks a bit like Ertha Kit to me in that shot ;D (if I spelled her name right ) If they're happy living on their own, then I'd say give her as much space as you can Caroline

thought I would post the picture Becky just sent me of the 2 boys sitting on her head!! I've made up the perfecto tank which she can start off in and I can move her into a bigger tank as she grows - only a week and a bit now ;D
