I'm looking for informations about a small north-african rodent called Ctenodactylus Gondi - but the only desciptions I can find are from medical journals etc. since it's the animal in which toxoplasmosis was first discovered. Does the gondi have another name? Is it an animal familiar to rodent people, I mean, does anyone know it? Is it kept in captivity? Any informations regarding the gondi will be appreciated! The reason for my investigation is a call from a retired physician, who's written a book on toxoplasmosis more than thirty years ago. He'd seen my ad in the local newspaper regarding tanks for my gerbils, and just wanted to know their latin name. It led to a talk about diseases and rodent and now the search for the gondi
