What was the sand bath treatment? (Maybe you have told it already somewhere, but I'm not sure)

The cheesmans are not self rolling in the sand bath so to speak and there coats an scent glands get very greasy.
Well I have to get cheesman in one hand and rub gently sand into his belly and back. they hate this but its the only way to get them clean.
Although they never bite I do get the silent treatment for a a few hours after I have to win them back with a few waxworms..

Oh that way! I thought that they loved sand, because they are true gerbils (Gerbillus)! But it seems I was wrong! ;D
My Mongolians and my duprasis love it!
