Toaday,our first baby pallids arrived.They're from the pair we bought from Katherine,and,with out disrupting their nest too much,looks like she's had 5 or 6 pups. I promise faithfully to take some pics very soon,of mum and dad,and their little babies . Of course,once I've taken the pics,I probably wont be able to post them.......but I will try. Lyd

darn I've had pallids nearly a year now and no pups!!!!! grrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the congratulations,I'm thinking I should have separated them,or put a divider in place. when I came upstairs this evening,about 10 p.m., I was going to clean their cage out, if they hadn't had their babies.The male raced up to see me straight away,the female stayed in the nest.I must have only just missed the babies being born,because she came up for a bath and some food,and they started mating again straight away.

well amybe I'll have male off you if I can get to you for one or get the number of the lass in Bicester. I must pop down soon and visit the family (I have parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters in Bicester, my other brother being in Melbourne and my other sister in Hastings).

Congrats! Pallids are sooooooooooooooooo cute. I would love to breed my mongolian gerbils, but I only have males...... and my freinds with females only have old ones.

hehe I daren't look Andrea but I may consider adding another male to te clan as the girls do go on heat regularly but he shows no interest

Of course you can have a male of me Gill.The lady at Bicester was selling the father of these pups as well though.His name is Merlin,and he's a proven breeder.If you've got family in Bicester Gill,get down there ;D

Andrea, do you know who she got her pallids from ? Lyd I don't know Lyd, but she says the parents were completly unrelated. I have a feeling most pallids are related somewhere back in the past. Andrea
