Since my last thread was locked, I thought I'd start a new one. After doing some extensive reading, I have concluded I have both Egyptian and Algerian lines as well as 2 possible hybrids! If I'm not mistaken, the Algerian line are bigger, chunkier, and a lot less active and will stone on your hand for long periods of time. The Egyptian line are the ones that can't seem to stay still and will not willingly let you do what you want to them. They are also smaller and much more agile. Would appreciate any advise or opinions on this as I've introduced an Algerian and Egyptian and hopefully would like to see how the babies turn out. May be able to obtain good info on hybrids and how they turn out.

Just so you don't take it personally, all threads started more than 1 year ago were locked, so it wasn't just yours. I know nothing about other gerbil species, but pictures are always nice!
