(copy of answer to pm) Hi Megan, Sure, I'll judge. I'll use AGS virtual show standards (I think the UK ones are too limited, since they don't admit certain colours to the gerbil standard). People can check out the AGS Virtual Show guidelines at www.virtual2005.agsgerbils.org/And I do think it is a good idea to limit the colours/categories to one per month not to overwhelm me. You are right about me being busy! I'll get down to that thread right away. My parents have been visiting this month and what with the new baby, and a new international student (plus my usual herd around here) it has been quite hectic. I'll cut and paste this letter to that thread as well. Gee, I feel so honoured!

Sandy said she'd be willing to judge! She will be posting guidelines in this thread soon. -Megan EDIT: ...or post them before I get done typing my post, you know, whatever...

Lets start with Jan. 15 to Feb. 15, Self--Unspotted Class. I will post entries and winners on Friday, Feb. 17 on a thread under this category. Then Feb. 15 to March 15 we'll do Self--Spotted Class, etc. down the AGS list. OK?
We will use the same photo size and standards as the AGS Virtual Show, and limit to two entries per person, please. And since there is a pup class for gerbils 12 weeks and younger, we will limit entries to gerbils 12 weeks and over in age.
You can email your entries to:
rogerve@yahoo.com
Please put "Mongolian Gerbil Virtual Show" in the Subject field so my mail program doesn't think you are junk mail and exclude you.
Don't forget to put in your name and/or gerbilry, your gerbil's name and age, colour and sex. Ideas are welcome!

What colours are doing first? And do they need to be in the "show" positions? I wanna start snapping so I have some in advance

Self colours are all colours with [aa], excluding colourpoint types. So Nutmeg, Siver Nutmeg, Black, Lilac, Dove, Slate, Red Fox, REW, PEW, and BEW. Please go to the AGS Virtual Show guidelines to see info like this, and yes, we will do the standard show positions as stated there as well. AGS 2005 Virtual Show Guidelines www.virtual2005.agsgerbils.org/2 entries only per person, please.

Thanks, Sandy! I'm curious on how it will go. I will make a sub-board for this virtual show in this board! Do you want to recieve the photos by mail, or do you want users to post it in this sub-board?

Your pied CP agouti would go in the 'spotted CP' category, I believe, pied topaz would go in the 'spotted white belly' category, and the sapphire would go in the 'self' category. The two pieds would go in a pied category if that's how Sandy decides to do it instead of the spotted variety of a color.

I think the pieds can be grouped with spotteds and then we'll have a seperate mottled class. Yes, Sapphire is a Self colour.
