Is anyone here planning to go to this show? I've been thinking about showing my gerbs. Don't expect anyone to win, but could be fun!
Actually, if you have showed at an AGS show I'd love to know what to expect.

There are some good articles in the AGS "Gerbil Tail" newsletter, which is available to everyone, not just members. There are articles on how to prepare for a show, what happens at a show and reports from specific shows: www.agsgerbils.org/gerbil_tales/issue_9.htmlAbove is the link for the latest newsletters that talks about this upcoming show in Bedford, MA (USA). There are other articles too if you look through previous issues. (I'm a gerbil show junkie and have been to all of the AGS shows so far!)

Well, the AGS show yesterday was great fun and I am so happy I went. To my utter surprise and great delight, my gerbils got some ribbons! So the winners are: Mochi, Second Place in Chewing Contest (Pet Class)! Also, all Pet Class entries get a First Place in their special trait. Mochi's is adventurousness. Taro, Second Place in Spotted Class! Nasu, First Place in Color Point Non-Siamese Class! Panko and Nori participated, too. There were so many entrants of some colors, they actually had an all siamese class and an all black class. We were all so tired at the end of the day, the gerbies and I went straight to bed when we got home. I named my kennel Oishii (delicious) Gerbils as all the boys are named after Japanese food! ;D Wish you all had been there. Come to the next one - you will have fun! Tracy

Wow! ;D Congratulations to you and your boys, Tracy!
I wish that I could have attended. Perhaps next year I'll drive down.
