Do you think this one is a Siamese? She is still young, but her tail has changed to a much darker colour (even though you can't see it). I am talking about the one on the left. BTW, her nose has almost cleared up all the way!!

Its hard to say because of the reflection of the bright plastic on her fur. But she looks like she maybe a colourpoint of some kind. I say that becuase of the dark ears.

Is it just me or does her nose look very sore ?? i think yes she is a siamese or lcp slate ( but didn't you get them from a petshop so i doubt it )
Given time the points will come through this happensa after about 12 weeks old. The other colour you have is an argente spot
I have kept a few pups in crittertrails and habitrails in the past, but always better in tanks or duna stlye homes. I once put an adult in a crittertrail and it went crazy in two minutes flat.

Yes, her swelling has gone down almost all the way and the red has almost left her. I am so thankful for neosporin.

RyanF, how do you put on the neosporin without clogging her nostrils? The foster I just brought home yesterday has a bit of a red nose.

Queenofthenile: I use the white cream, since it is easier to apply. I take a small daub of it and put it all around the nose. Then I hold her for a while so it will soke in without her scratching it off. I think she still can breathe, since I don't put it on real thick.

Yes, she is the cutie of the three. I think she was the runt of the litter so she is smaller and cuter than normal!

Ah, you have to hold the gerbil, do you? Hmmm, the gerbil with the red nose is * not* tame at all (she's a foster). Even if I gently scoop her up with both hands, it is very difficult to get her from A to B without her escaping. Actually holding her would be quite a feat! I think I will wait a few days until she is a tad more tame. Maybe by that time, her nose will be better too. The red nose may be from bar chewing, or the cage not being cleaned enough (she just was dumped off at the shelter a few days ago, so I don't know her history).

What do you mean I have to hold them. Of course I do or they would run away, lol. All my gerbils like being held, but not for much longer then 20-30 minutes.

I'm saying that this gerbil *will not* let me hold it! She isn't tame at all, and so even if I manage to scoop her up, she struggles until she has gotten out of my hands. I know I could hold her long enough to get the cream on her nose, but not enough to let it "soak in".
