Thats Drunk he is a spotted golden agouit he is 1 1/2 years old and his wife is called Disorderly together they have had 7 litters of lovely pups and are parent, grandparent, great grandparent or great great grandparents to all my breedings
Drunk recently had a bad ear infection and now walks with his head on one side. He also has a small scent gland tumour which the vet says is to small to operate on.
Litter no 8 will be born very soon...........new year pups maybe??

Of course he had antibiotics for the ear which has cleared up the infection but the tilted head will be permanent see www.gerbils.co.uk for more on this condition (and others) The tumour, as I said, the vet felt was too small to be operated on yet. It will have to be removed at some stage and will cost £80 to £100. And yes 8 litters is a lot. I had hoped dissy was too odl for more but she has long gaps of two months or more between litters now and I'm sure will stop soon. She always looks at her best when pregnant and seems to enjoy her pups. When they are apart the two miss each other terribly so I would hate to seperate them as I do with other pairs.

My rat Nikk (died in 1997. He was about 3-4 years old) had an ear-infection. The vet drained it and he was fine, but yep, he had his tilted head forever
