A few months ago, my neighbor told me he was breedig gerbils to feed to his boa constrictor He asked me to come watch and for some reson i did! I watched as he put three tiny pups in the cage and slowly the snake came out........I was close to tears but because I went to watch i was able to save all three pups and rehome them ;D it was a real miracle to see them thriving instead of watching them get eaten. How i ended saving them Is a mystery, everything happened so fast I can't remeber, but I never been so happy to see three gerbils live ;D ;D ;D ;D

WOWEEEE!! My friend has a gerbil called "scrappy" and I asked "oh is that because he fights with other gerbils" and she said "no it's because we put him in with our boa and the boa came off worse" so she kept him!

As an ex-snake keeper I would like to point out that in the UK is illegal to feed live rodents with people watching. Also responsible snake breeders appreciate the danger the their snakes (and the stress to the rodents) and feed deadstock. Deadstock is rodents bred as reptile food and humanely killed. Most deadstock is bought frozen, then defrosted before being fed to the snakes. The only reason to give live rodents to a snake is to get (usually wild) snake to feed that won't touch dead animals. In most cases these can be trained over time to eat deadstock.

hang on, i'm confused again so, seeing as you saved the pups a few months ago, i assume that these 'snake food' pups are infact Cinder, Zero and Cookie, yes? and yet, you only got the above gerbils last month, from luvsgerbils, who moved to California well anyhoo, i think your neighbour is a bit silly really as he is actually endangering his boa constrictor, as mentioned above, snakes usually come off worse when fed live animals

haha oh right, i'm so easily confused but luvsgerbils, i swear on your original post (before you editied it) it said something about Zero, Cinder and Cookie? no? and on your website it said that Zero, Cinder and Cookie had been neglected in the past or something, which would fit...

lol ok i think someone has changed your website, as it definitely did say that they had had a difficult past or something? it was under 'our gerbils' with the little pics of Cinder, Zero and Cookie and it definitely did say something like that in the little sentence about each gerbil, but someone's removed it, it seems and the original post for this thread was edited (it says it up top, underneath the writing ) well anyhoo, i've thoroughly confused myself (as normal ;D) such fun

I do believe Zero and Cinder where abused only because their previous owner forgot about them. you know stuff like not cleaning their tank and changing their water and food. But i don't remeber putting it on the website If i remebering right, i may have edited the post only to change somewords i mispelled wrong. I didn't rehome the three gerbil to meggie, I rehomed them to a boy who lives on her street. I wouldn't call her a co-owner either (no offense) only becasue in the beginnig when i first started out she wanted nothing to do with helping me. I never mentioned her before because she recently purchased TWO gerbils. Not three. when I mean recently I mean like three days ago. and I find it hard to believe her gerbil is already pregnant! now i feel bad for beating up my friend, but seriously meggie, tell the real story
