Any ideas on how to join a Critter Trail Cage with a 20 gallon tank

cut a hole in a wire lid and use a tunnel.

I used to do the tank/cage thing. I just purchased extra tubing and put the cage on the top of the tank, cut a hole through the wire lid and added a tube. There are some other ideas on types of tubing and lids in the "show me your set up" thread in this section. It has a lot of great, creative, inexpensive ideas! ;D

It is actually pretty neat stuff. As long as you know what is safe for gerbils, you can create your own masterpiece!! It is really fun to do with other people also. We have great family times when we "create or catch" stuff for the gerbils!
I would strongly suggest using gerbils safe items you may alread yhave around the house instead of buying more tubing!

They sell covers for 20 gallon tanks with tube holes already in it that would be easy to connect a critter trail too....
Cheaper to make your own though.
