this is my boys setup! i'm still a very new gerbil owner (only 6 weeks now) so I'm constantly doing research and seeing how I can improve things for them! It's a 20 gallon long with a standard mesh lid. It has two houses, a hideaway corner (which their food is sat on), and a sectioned off digging area since they kept covering their water bottle and making their bedding all mushy! Here's my two boys

If possible, I would expand the digging area. Gerbils love to dig, so I think it's important to give them as much digging space as possible.

We got a Deltof for the two 7 week brothers. Half is for digging (mix of aspen and Timothy hay with big chunks of corrugated cardboard thrown on top) and half is for play - a wheel, house, gnarled grapevine lookout, sand bath, food, water and a house. So far they are ignoring the house (bunking down in their best on the digging side) and the wheel.
I'm trying to figure out how to attach pix from on my phone...

This is my setup for my 3 gerbils. Finn and Neptr stay in the 34 gal tank and BMO doesn't get along with either so she's by herself in a 15 gal tank. This is when it's "clean" And currently (little bit messy hehe, sorry); They have a sand bowl in there permanently, they always poop and pee there so it makes cleaning a lot easier for me haha. Here they are

My girls' detolf after the left half was cleaned. After a few days they 'redecorate' it.

clearsparkle I agree... Is it possible to post photos without a Photobucket account? If so, how?

wire wheels are quite dangerous and a lot of these setups have them. I would recommend getting a wheel with a solid base. I know its not best to give gerbils plastic but mine don't really chew on it but you can always get a wooden wheel which I have in my current natural setup.

She posted that 3yrs ago and hasn't been active for ~2.5yrs, so I don't think your chances of an answer are good . Whilst I'm here, this is Avon's and Blake's home (only Avon is visible). 300 ltr/79 US gall tank, wheel and sandbath sit on top of a platform I made, which they haven't buried yet! Would be hard to I think .
This one shows the platform better (before they shoved over a load of substrate ). That's Blake btw.
