My gerbil has the same problem!! Is it in with another gerbil and does the other gerbil dominate? It could be an allergy to bedding as well so you could try just putting tissue in the cage and change it everyday and see if the nose clears up. It can also be a sign of stress so if one of the other gerbils is bullying or a close gerbil friend has died or something has frightened it then it could be stress or depression. :S hope this helps but I'm no expert so couldn't tell you exactly what's wrong :/ xx laura
