I was just wondering what the general feeling about feeding Rice as a treat is and whether its done cooked or raw Feel free to comment

I had no idea they could even have rice. If they can have it, I'll have to cook some up sometime to see how they do.

I give mine puffed rice, and the occasional rice cake piece.

I don't generally include it in my mix but it should be perfectly fine raw or cooked. Brown rice would probably be more nutritious.

Is rice not dangerous due to it expanded in the stomach? i know it can apply to some birds, not sure if rodents.

I know raw rice and pasta would expand but i don't think anyone would feed enough to actually cause any harm.

My boys gets rice both cooked and uncooked. As well as pasta. We've never encountered any problems, except that they always want more lol

I give my two boys a piece or two of cooked rice every few months, and they love it! it's not good to feed too much of it, but in very small amounts it's fine.
