Hey everyone! So i've just upgraded my gerbil's cage to a 20 gallon aquarium. I've been really intrested in purchasing some shelves to give them more room. But i cant seem to find anywhere that has glass shelving for the glass aquarium. I want to attach the new floors to the corners of the tank, and have the shelves not too large to make them feel trapped. Anyone know where i can buy something like this? Thanks!

I had a nightmare finding glass shelves, so I just used little wood shelves! I was afraid they'd be chewed up, but he's not interested, He tried once, was told off, and that's been it! Might not work for you, could work at least temporarily

i couldn't find any either. so I measured out the size I wanted the shelf to be and made a pattern to that size with cardboard and then traced the pattern onto a piece of plexiglass. I made a corner shelf, so it was real easy - just one cut on a table saw. Then, I used some aquarium sealant to attach it to the tank, let it sit overnight, and now I have a very sturdy shelf for my gerbils to use.
if you don't have any plexiglass or a saw, take your pattern to a home improvement store and see if they have any scraps they'd be willing to cut to size for you. I can't promise anything, but when I have gone to them regarding scraps they've always been pretty accommodating. aquarium sealant is sold in tubes in most pet stores and has directions for using it on the label.
