What types of bedding/substrate can you use for gerbils? I'm looking for anything other than wood shavings, soil, aspen, paper pellets. Anything else like types of sand, wood...etc, doesn't matter the pricing I'll buy it. Attachments:

I use Kaytee clean and cozy. Digby loves it so much more than any other bedding I have used for her. Someone made the suggestion that I use that awhile ago and it was the best decision I made for Digby

I use kaytee clean and cozy as well. It is way less dusty than carefresh. I switched to clean and cozy when I noticed my gerbil had a red nose most of the time, and since the switch his nose has been much better. It can be a bit hard to find in smaller store so you may have to check a few places for it.

Paper-based bedding is nice.

I usually (when I'm not depriving my poor boys in their post-split tub! ) give a mix of carefresh, aspen, shavings and hay. I've tried other things with previous gerbils, but I find this mix is quite good at holding tunnels
