Aspen. Just cause its not too expensive, safe for the gerbils, and the smell/odor control is good. I've never used much else though so I can't really compare.

I use aspen and I think its great, but I have never used Eco Bedding so can't really compare. I don't think I really could use Eco Bedding, because I have a pretty large terrarium and to fill it with Eco Bedding would be far too expensive. I may try adding some to my aspen though, as the paper crinkles do look fun and I have heard good things about it.
I am curious to see what members who have used both have to say.

I used to use aspen until both I and my gerbils developed an allergy to it. I think it's a great bedding - cheap and easy to find. Now I use EcoBedding - no more red gerbil noses and my nagging cough is gone. EcoBedding holds tunnels and caverns very well - for that reason, I would add a small amount of it to any other bedding.

Sounds like I will try mixing some Eco Bedding into my aspen next time. Should give my gerbil some more variety!

I used to use aspen, now I use eco-bedding. With 15+ tanks in my bedroom, the reduced dust with eco-bedding is critical.

Between the wheels, and the wood toys clunking against the glass, and the bar chewing, and the occasional chases - I wouldn't get an hour worth of sleep!
