Gerbil lays down and doesnt drink should I be concerned?

Hi i just got a new gerbil, Minnie, and its been 2 days. I noticed on the first day she lays straight on her belly while laying her head down. She does not sleep while doing this she just lays and keeps her eyes open. Although sometimes she does sleep like this. She even does it outside her hideout. I am very worried she is sick, especially because I really want to introduce her to my current gerbil Peaches. I also haven't seen her drink water but i notice that the water levels in her bottle are a little bit lower than the day before. I don't know if she is drinking it or if it is just evaporating. I also don't know if this is what gerbils do for the first days. Because when I had Peaches at first she didn't drink water when I was around, but as time went on she started to drink more and more in front of me. Thanks for your help.  Sorry for the trouble its just the first time I have seen a gerbil lay down like this and as much.

Nevermind about the water bottle issue. Once I finished typing this post i tried to put the water bottle closer to her and she didn't drink it. But after i put it back to where it was she went to drink it, and she drank from the bottle for like 2mins.

She could just be feeling stressed out by the new situation. Does Minnie have a gerbil friend that she lives with? Gerbils are social animals, and it is best to have more than 1 living together if possible. Water bottles can be tricky, andit might have been blocked up for a bit, and when you moved it around it became unblocked. Good luck with Minnie
