I like to make things for my mice(they don't chew as much as gerbils) and am wondering what glue is the best if they accidentally swallow some. I know to use non-toxic glue. So maybe hot glue, Elmer's glue, or non-toxic carpenters glue?

Elmers glue is non-toxic. You can eat it. I wouldn't recommend it though, i'm sure it tastes awful.

Elmer's glue is great but it's really annoying when you're trying to hold things like wood together. Basically it dries out in a few days and then peels off and the whole thing falls apart. For anything other than paper or cardboard, you can use nontoxic children's hot glue. I use that to make wooden structures for my hamsters.

Thanks for the advice, But I was wondering which non-toxic glues had the least chance of causing impaction or other problems
