I wouldn't get the gerbil-hamster cage. I think an aquarium, 20 gallon long if possible. I got mine really cheap, because it doesn't hold water, but is otherwise sound.

The Petco dollar per gallon sale might be local. Everywhere has one I just don't think it's all at the same time, I can't find anything about it for my Petco. The cage you are looking at seems too small for 3 to me, these are the dimensions I found: Dimensions:25H 15W 14D. To compare, the average 10 gallon tank is 12H 20W 10D. So this cage has similar floor space and more head room than a 10 gallon. So probably enough for 2 (depending on who you ask) but not 3. Plus as Selene said, because it's a cage and not a tank you cannot have deep bedding. In any case, I thought you only had one gerbil and were going to get him one friend. Introducing two gerbils to your one gerbil might not be a good idea, introducing one to one is usually easier and safer.
Used tanks are going to be the cheapest.

Do you think a 29 gallon is big enough for three gerbils? I found one on craigslest for 9 dollars and it is in good condition.

I am going to get a deluxe lime green gerbil and hamster cage, do think it is big enough for three gerbils? And I will be replacing the wheel and adjusting the ramps. If it is not big enough where can I find a 20 gallon tank under 30 dollars? They do not have any at amazon or at any of my local pet stores. Can ahn one help me? plus I do not earn very much Mony per week and I need to get one soon so it has to be under thirty dollars in order for my to hey it in time. An ideas? I would not suggest that cage. As said, there isn't hardly enough room for burrowing/bedding. And yes, you can find a 20 gallon for under $30. Just look on Craigslist.

Where did the three come from? I thought you were only introducing one. And get a tank, a cage is an awful habitat for a gerbil.
