Has anyone heard of "Critter cubes for small pets?" The bag says it's a treat "originally designed to give optimum nutrition to small lab animals."
It was in the food section and looked too big to be a treat. Does anyone know if it's good and if it should be given as food or as a very large treat.
Thanks. Daisy

Update. I sent an email to the company that makes the cubes and they just responded. They say that it is a complete food and fulfills all dietary requirements. So now the question is - will the gerbils eat it. If anyone has heard anything different or tried the food, please let me know. Thank you.
Daisy.

I've found this site www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=12687 the protein and fat levels are very high, i've never seen or heard of it before but if you want to give it a a main diet then you'd have to mix it with something to bring the protein and fat levels down. You could also just use it as a treat and break it into smaller pieces.

Thank you! I guess I'll stick with Oxbow. Do you know how much protein and fat the food should ideally have?
