I sometimes see people use bits of shredded j-cloth as bedding and wondered if its actually safe? Ofc, i know now one would purposely harm the gerbs but ive been considering buying some cheap cloth from the store but i just don't understand how they would tear it up and it not get caught round their limbs and that? Thankss xD

Thankss xD I would really recommend not using that at all. They'd have no way of digesting it so there's the harm in it blocking their stomach and/or intestines. And since they'd most likely shred it up there'd be the chance of it getting tangled around their feet or teeth. That's my personal opinion and from looking around on it I would just stick to toilet paper if you're going for nesting material or bedding if you need to.

I know a lot of people use them for mice, but no-one I know uses them for gerbils. And if you do use them yourself for whatever reason, make sure they aren't impregnated with any detergents.
