Does anyone on here know anything about plastering? Im so confused!
I brought my first house in March and i would really like my living room and main bedroom decorated soon, at the moment they both have wall paper all round and from what i can see of the walls through the paper they are pretty bumping and would either need to be re-wall papered with pretty thick paper or will need re-plastering to be painted.
I want them primarily cream as that is universal and is easy to change the colour when its just accessories to change.
I want to look into getting some plastering quotes but im not exactly sure what im actually looking to have done is it classed as re-plastering or is it just re-skimming? Or does it depend on if chunks of plaster fall of when i take the wall paper off?
I really dont know where to start and i dont want to sound like a complete fool when i ring the plasterer!
Thankyou!

Sorry, can't help, but I am sure if you just call a few people round for quotes, you will soon get the jist of all the lingo...
I would imagine it could be just re-skimming - unless they notice a problem behind the plaster like you said.
Good luck anyway...
