Hiya,
I have two gerbils and one of them has a biting problem... If you put him on your hands, he'll grab your fingers and/or hand and bite it... Is there any way I can prevent this?
Thanks,
Luli x

You have cats in your avatar, could the cat smell be triggering it? Try washing your hands first.
Put him in a small tub or box, put your hand in and get him used to your hand, pet him, give him a treat, no treat if he bites.

Thank you! I'll definitely try it and my room is a cat free zone but I'll make sure my parents aren't letting him in

My cat always gets in lol but I have never had a problem with biting. If you hand feed him to much that could be causing it.

Is he drawing blood? If not, he might just be nibbling or nipping. Nipping still needs to be addressed, but nibbling is not an aggression problem. (can still be annoying though!) Here's a link about nipping, on the same page you can find links for nibbling and biting too. thegerbiljournal.blogspot.com/p/nipping.html
