I have never had mine catch colds, but that doesn't mean it's not possible. I don't think it's very common if it is possible because we don't hear about it very often. Please don't panic, if they do get sick the vet would probably be able to help. Okay, my mom (who is a Registered Nurse) said that the common cold can't be spread from humans to gerbils. From my understanding bacteria and some viruses can though.
