Hiya, number 1 = boy for sure. Number 2 I would say = girl.
Are they the same age? How old are they?

Pic #1 is a boy, pic #2 really looks like a girl. In the same enclosure, they will breed and I would separate them asap, though there is the possibility that she could be pregnant already.

I'm quite disheartened to hear that the female(s) may be impregnated already. A new litter is what I'm trying to avoid, & even more unfortunately, these 2 are siblings.

Yes if they are 4 months old then I would say you definitely have a boy and a girl there.
Separate them ASAP, and fingers crossed for you she isn't pregnant! I have had gerbils whose parents were siblings, I believe rodents can usually "get away" with in-breeding ie with no major ill effects to the babies.
Maybe even if there is a litter it might work out ok, you could keep a couple of boys with the dad and a daughter with the mum and perhaps rehome the others?
Hope things work out ok!

I have isolated this boy from the rest of the girls. Assuming a gestation period of 28 days, can I safely say if I do not see any litter from the girls 35 days from the day of separation, that no inbred impregnation has occur?
