This week was a busy one; I was out of the house most of the day yesterday. I got home in the late afternoon/early evening and was eager to spend some time bonding with my gerbils. Guess what - they were both fast asleep in their cozy nest. During the course of the evening, I went back to them a few times; each time they were sleeping soundly. I tried talking softly to them, gently stroking them, holding up sunflower seeds and almonds inches from them...they just blinked and went back to sleep. Then, when it was already past my bedtime and I was headed upstairs for my bed and some much - needed sleep...my gerbils jumped up and started racing about, cute as ever! Who could resist? I couldn't! I fed them treats, petted them, let them climb up my arm, put my cell phone in front of them so that they could jump on it...I ended up getting to sleep much too late! My alarm clock was NOT my friend this morning. They did it on purpose, those little rascals!!!

Yea they won't always be up when you are, my boys tend to be up between ~5:30-10pm, then about midnight to 3-4am I think. You can't be up everytime they are

At least you weren't just mindlessly clicking around on the internet or stuck watching some stupid TV show, like some people have done, I won't say who.
